Mike was very active in those days and put together several high mileage compilations, some of which we present here. This book solved the mystery of the SUPER CARBURETOR which we had all heard of but had no idea what the secret was. We now know and continue to work on its developments. He also features the FISH Carburetor which another friend imported quite a few after Mike put them back into production. It was a beautiful piece of work and I had one on my 253 V8 for some time. Another feature is the Bourke Engine. An interesting design with none of the con-rod disadvantages. I have the full set of Blue Prints here for anyone who would like to build this rather unique engine. Many other interesting features which you will find captivating especially if you are new to this area of knowledge.

DOWNLOAD: by Ray Covey - This 'DO IT YOUR SELF MANUAL includes the Mark 1, Mark 2 and Mark 5 designs as well as other variation designs. Ray Covey was the first major developer of the modern fuel Vapourizer systems and published several manuals for the 'DO IT YOUR SELF' Super Carb Enthusiast. We had a lot of fun in the 80's building these devices and double mileage was achieved in the motors of the day. It can be done!! The early tube vaporizer did have some glugging problems as fuel has a lot of heavy elements that will collect in time. The situation is worse today where quite a high percentage of fuel is not even combustible by a blow torch. These units are good for fuels like Alcohol/Ethanol which will not gum up the works. He then moved to the Mark 5 design which would not glugg up. The other issue with HOT VAPORIZERS is the energy density and then the trend was to move to COLD Vaporizers. The Empro 2000 is the one I really like as it embodies the 'real secret of COLD FUEL VAPOURIZING' ( I will do a youtube to demonstrate this phenomenon ) which with some clever re-design work achieved 63 mpg in a thundering 351 Ford V8 truck with normal drivability. Usually about 12 mpg so that was a great achievement and is the direction of our research now to get that design to a commercial level and combine that technology with HHO. Then we should be able to get the 80 mpg in a BIG 6 or V8 which is our objective. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. We have learnt a lot over the years and still a lot more to learn but with modern Electronic control Systems it makes it so much easier. Have a fund time ...

DOWNLOAD: A piece of great Australian History which you can see if you visit Alice Springs Museum. Kurt Johannsen was a great Australian whom I had the privilege to meet some years ago. He had this wood-gas burner hanging in the rear of his big American Stationwagon. He would fill the wood crate and get about 300 miles down the road. Each year he would set out from Adelaide and head North. You can read his story in his book 'SON OF THE RED CENTRE'. A remarkable story of his life in the out back on which our Folklore is based. Back then the Alice only had 35 houses and his dad was the first to own a car. Petrol was brought in by Camel back. He flew adventurers out to Lassiter's Reef in search of the illusive Gold Treasure. He describes remarkable bush craft skills of survival and has the greatest respect for our native Aboriginals. He was also the inventor of the great Road Trains that carry vast loads across the out back. A remarkable pioneer and a remarkable story of the Australia that we have now lost. The wood-gas burner is a great design as you simply add wood and water. It is very much a Hydrogen generator as well. Similar units were common during the war years and an Uncle of mine had a charcoal burner on the back of his Vanguard. However Charcoal is very expensive if you can get it. If you have a bush block with a lot of dead trees then this unit may be just the thing.

DOWNLOAD: The Empro2000 was a breakthrough in Vapour Technology and in this very simple form was able to double the MPG. However it lacked the control system which we now have an enables this principle to be used as a "100 percent COLD VAPOUR SYSTEM' . It is much easier of course to use these systems on steady rev engines like pumps and generators as it has always been the stumbling block to make these things work over a varying rev range and load variations. Of course in the 'Modern' vehicle we have the Computer to assist in all that and like wise we can use more sophisticated control systems in this technology as well. The fundamental problem in the modern engine is that we are using a liquid fuel instead of a 'true vapour'. ALL ENGINES are 'GAS ENGINES' and the fuel should be a gas when it enters the combustion chamber. This is the 'BIG SECRET' but todays' fuel is crap compared to the early fuels that James Pogue used. He achieved super mileage as the fuel then was more like 'Lighters fuel'. This is why Ethanol would be so much better if you can make it your self. Remember back in the 70's the government actually encouraged farmers to make their own Ethanol and some did very successfully. A few acres of crop will power the farmer for a year. Sadly all that is forgotten now. Even the CSIRO had major breakthrough developments with 'DRY DISTILLING' methods. Wonder what happened to all that research???
